What they like about The Standard Club:

You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.

Climbers who worked at The Standard Club had these interests:

Books
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team A "leadership fable" about identifying and addressing counterproductive behavior in a team setting. So many teams struggle with the issues laid out in the book, and the book made it easy to see how they affect the team dynamic and how to address them.
First, Break All the Rules I first read this book when we started our employee survey process. It really opened my eyes to the role of management in transforming an organization. Data-based analysis of the role of employee perceptions in organizational success.
