Daily Duties at Loma Linda University Medical Center:

?Evaluated the need for process improvements and new systems, and select the most effective quality tools to apply to each project using the Six Sigma Green Belt process ?Provided data reports from monitoring activities ?Collaborated on the development and analysis of reports that include data validation, reliability, objectivity, implications, and impact ?Conducted weekly medical record reviews ?Provided analysis, assistance and support to department managers and quality resource nurse coordinators for patient care tracers and clinical pathway monitoring ?Assisted with special projects, committees, and performance improvement activities for the improvement of the organization ?Educated team leaders, team members and management on quality improvement methods and tools ?Identified and negotiated for resources required for each project ?Intranet content publishing for the Quality Resource Management Department ?Developed and edit departmental Newsletter for educational and awareness purposes ?Responded and investigate patient claims and reports according to JCAHO requirements ?Coordinated departmental efforts in documenting claims, including interviews, telephones or correspondence with claimants and witnesses; and medical records to determine extent of company’s liability, as well as varying methods of investigation according to regulatory standards ?Organized and conduct Root Cause Analysis and Focus Review sessions ?Responsibilities included organizing and reporting outcomes of the following committees: Women's and Neonatal Multidisciplinary QI, Gynecology QI, Obstetrics QI, Professional Practice Committee, and Pre-Hospital & Transfer Committee ?Served as an assistant to various multidisciplinary chairmen, coordinate committee meetings, including notifying attendees, reserving rooms, requesting refreshments and audio/visual equipment, as well as prepare and distribute supporting confidential documentation
