Daily Duties at Software Development Systems:
Lead Programmer and one of three owners Developed embedded systems compilers, assemblers, and debuggers for a wide variety of 8, 16, and 32-bit microprocessors: designed custom object file formats to support the worlds first generation of commercially available symbolic debuggers for embedded systems implemented a universal linker in C on a UNIX-based system maintained a family of assemblers written in C and adapted those assemblers to generate our new object file format wrote portions of our assemblers, compilers, and symbolic debuggers, all written in C to run under UNIX implemented global optimization for our C++ compiler implemented high speed downloading tools for our symbolic debugger ported our product to a wide variety of UNIX machines wrote most of the product documentation and arranged with printers for its production designed and implemented our production facility and procedures produced all promotional materials, including advertisements, for the company assisted in the installation and maintenance of a SUN Solaris network participated actively in the management and financing of the company
