Daily Duties at Olin Corp./New Haven Copper Company:
? Schedule employees for shifts, machine operations, job assignments, and vacations. Monitor performance. ? Inspect machine set-ups prior to start of each run using calipers and micrometers to verify proper gauge and width of material. Reconcile and close out Daily Progress Reports for each machine. ? Provide training to employees and supervisors in policies, SOP's, job safety practices and Plant Health and Safety Regulations. Enforce Safety and Shop rules. ? Assess employee job performance; providing positive reinforcement and issuing written disciplinary warnings when necessary. ? Order mill/janitorial supplies and safety equipment when stocks run low using SAP. ? Approve and edit employee timecards for payroll using Ceridian Source Time & Attendance Plus software. Complete reports on employee attendance. ? Assist Plant Manager with organizing and heading up annual inventories. ? Learned to perform Quality Control Testing of metal samples to keep machines running through the night. ? Chairman of the company Shipping & Receiving and Packing Team. ? Provide Change Order and Clerical support for production and shipping & receiving departments. ? First Aide Responder. (CPR, AED & Basic First Aide) ? Member Plant Safety Committee, Security Systems Coordinator, and ISO 9001 Auditor.
