Managed purchasing requisitions and written quotes from preferred vendors. Composed and distributed letters of intent for formal proposal as needed Managed the company’s print, office supplies, and express mail transactions. Implemented changes from non-contracted items to contracted items to improve buying power Provided guidance to suppliers in spend categories through scheduled reviews, reporting and consistent feedback Responsible for reconciliation of the day to day procurement expenses Maintained the procurement department’s physical and electronic contract database Wrote the departmental procedures that established processes and applied controls to bring the department into compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Inter-departmental coordination to ensure users were properly trained on procurement applications Experienced with the formal RFP process
