Daily Duties at Montgomery Ward :

While working for Montgomery Ward, I held many positions throughout my career. I started out as a "Floater", I was then promoted within a week to a full-time commission Salesman in the Hardware Department which was totally new to me. Within a few months, I was the senior person of the department. Within the year, I was promoted to Cashier Manager and supervised approximately 45 employees. In 1986, I was again promoted to Human Resource Coordinator, which was a training position. In this position I was responsible for all new hire orientation and incubent training. In 1987, I was promoted to the position of Human Resource Manager. Handled all aspects of human resources for 145+ employees. This included, but was not limited to recruitment, interviewing, hiring, benefit administration, terminations, disciplinary action, oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department, workers' compensation, general liability, new hire orientation, customer service training, Supervisory / Management skills training, ensured that departmental budgets were met, handled complaints and ensured that all state and federal laws were met. What they like about Montgomery Ward :

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
