Daily Duties at State Farm Insurance:

• Applied training and policy contract knowledge necessary to perform the job of Claims Representative • Exercised sound judgment regarding claims settlement value, factors of liability, settlement, and negotiations. • Interfaced effectively with the general public, public officials and personnel of other companies and businesses during the claims process through strong communication skills. • Reviewed and analyzed assignments and information on reported claims from agents, claimants, policyholders, and other State Farm claim personnel for purposes of determining the proper course of action. • Interpret, evaluate, and write structural damage estimates. • Responsible for providing direction to agents, policyholders, attorneys and claimants for the disposition of claims. This included obtaining medical information, disposition of medical bills and disability benefits, verification of values, and depreciation. • Inspected property claims which included obtaining the measurements of the roof and living areas, the inspection of attics, crawl spaces, and other claim locations as applicable.
