Daily Duties at Omc:
Organize and stock the floor. Put together patient charts, kardex doctor orders, order labs and tests for patients, answer and redirect all phone calls to the unit, schedule surgery, gather all paperwork needed to clear a patient for surgery, deal with patients and their families, sales people, and all hospital staff. I worked with outside institutions to get patient material also. Often I had to help the nurses take patients out of the hospital after surgery. Some computer data entry was done on a daily basis (both to enter and retrieve information).
