Daily Duties at Siac, Inc.:
Data Modeling: Create and maintain the Amex Data Warehouse (ADW) data model in ERwin, based on the enterprise-wide business needs of the Amex. Metadata: Develop a database containing metadata for the source data for the ADW, including a business definition for each source field and a list of allowable values and their meanings. Source-to-Target Mapping: Determine the mapping of source data to target tables and columns in the ADW. Combine and separate source data elements as needed. Database Design: Design the target entities and attributes of the ADW for maximum ease of use for both loading and retrieving the data. Specifications: Work with end users to specify their data needs. Translate specifications into formal business and functional requirements specifications. Quality Control: Analyze the data to verify the accuracy of the ETL process. Code Analysis: Analyze the PL/SQL code to determine whether it matches the Source-to-Target Mapping, revise as needed. VM/APL: Maintain primary accountability for all SIAC-owned VM/APL systems. Overhaul and automate the overnight data loads, processing of alert reports, storage handling, and data retention. Create a full-screen user interface with PF Key context-based help, and online documentation of alert reports, their data elements, and the derivation of the alerts.
