Daily Duties at Thomson Financial:

Manager of Hosting Department, Tokyo, Japan (2005 – 2006) Oversaw activities to maintain 24x7 operations of over 60 live production servers, which was the core to the Japanese branch of Thomson Corporation. Administered both Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange 2003 environments for the Asian region and aligned both systems to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Law. Supervised 2 direct reports, developed career paths, authorized vacation days and made decisions regarding bonus awards and any wage increases. Drove numerous improvement projects without affecting client access to products. Senior Systems Analyst, New York, New York (1998 – 2005) Supported over 6,000 geographically dispersed LAN and WAN servers that connected the New York backend data centers to user workstations as part of a 65-member team. Co-directed a project team of 8 members for a product called Thomson Datafeed. Acted in a Sales Engineer capacity to support the Sales department when interaction with potential or existing with Fortune 500 companies, such as CNBC, was required. Trained all new hires, as well as Production Support Department which consisted of approximately 60 employees. Administrator of Production Support Department Sybase servers and developed a Cold Fusion based frontend interface for database access.
