Daily Duties at Mcdot:
REVIEW PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECTS. PERFORMED FIELD INSPECTION AND EVALUATES THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PROJECT PLANS AND WORK PERFORMED, KNOWLEDGE OF FEDERAL,STATE AND COUNTY LAWS, CODES AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS EFFECTING PUBLIC WORKS INSPECTION. KNOWLEDGE IN POSSIBLE DEFECTS IN CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND CORRECTIVE APPLICATIONS; KNOWLEDGE OF OSHA SAFETY STANDARDS AND TRAFFIC SAFETY PROCEDURES IN CONSTRUCTION AREAS. KNOWLEDGE IN THE PRINCIPLE OF ALGEBRA,GEOMETRY,TRIGONOMETRY AND THEIR APPLICATION OF ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION. CONDUCTING TECHNICAL DETAILED ENGINEERING INSPECTIONS; READING AND INTERPRETING PLANS; SOLUTIONS TO BRING CONSTRUCTION INTO COMPLIANCE; OPERATING A PERSONAL COMPUTER, UTILIZING A VARIETY OF BUSINESS SOFTWARE; EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION, BOTH VERBAL AND WRITTEN; REFERS SERIOUS PROBLEMS AND DISAGREEMENTS IN INTERPRETATION TO ENGINEERING MANAGER AND SUPERVISORS; ISSUE CEASE WORK ORDERS FOR UNAUTHORIZED UNSAFE, OR DEFICIENT PERFORMANCE, CONDUCT QUALITY ASSURANCE
