• Partnered with internal clients locally, regionally and internationally to ensure consistent adherence to company policies and applicable laws • Wrote and designed US and Canadian policy and procedures and employee handbooks • Administered bi-monthly payroll for US and Canadian employees • Counseled managers and partners in regards to hiring practices, retainer plans, performance assessment tools, terminating employees, lay-off procedures, performance improvement plans and compliance with employment laws such as ADA, FMLA • Ensured legal risk was minimized by assisting management in determining employees to be severed and collating severance packages • Administered benefits, 401(k) ensuring enrollments, changes and terminations were timely • Partnered and consulted with legal counsel regarding immigration compliance for H1, L1 and B visas as well as green card applications
