Daily Duties at School District U 46:
Human Resources Staffing Specialist Identified staffing needs for all bilingual general education classes offered. Worked with the Superintendant and Recruitment Coordinator to determine how many sessions of each class would be offered by identifying the number of students enrolled for the new school term. Ensured proper certification standards were met for bilingual teachers. ? Tracked seniority when classes came up for bid and contacted the teacher with the first right of acceptance/refusal until all classes were filled. ? Entered newly hired employees into PeopleSoft and assisted with processing payroll. ? Went through the payroll calculation files and caught six overcompensated errors made by the previous Staffing Specialist. Recaptured over $5,000 that was overpaid in error. ? Continually researched resumes online to recruit bilingual teachers. ? Gathered years of service information for the awards banquet and assisted in coordinating the banquet meeting facilities, menu, and years of service gift catalog. Created and distributed event invitations and coordinated RSVP’s. Contacted teachers who did not RSVP to ensure an accurate head count.
