Daily Duties at Gold Kist, Inc:

Provide employee relations assistance to management and non-management by interpreting and implementing policies, and State and Federal employment laws in a plant with 2,500 employees. Screen applicants by interview and background checks. Supervise and manage two salaried Benefits Administrators. Responsible for all reporting in such areas as turnover, absenteeism, affirmative action, and equal employment. Interface with both internal and external centers of expertise to insure employee needs are being met in the areas of benefits, worker’s compensation, FMLA, personal, medical and military leaves. Represent the company in unemployment compensation claims. Attend job fairs and community programs to represent the company.
