Daily Duties at Ups Information Services Field Certification Lab:
Gained familiarity with installing UPS NT, W2K and XP operating systems as well as performing NT to AD migrations. Worked on setting up and configuring W2K and Win2003 servers. Performed installation of printers and various other external devices. Performed automated and manual testing in order to detect defects within the various UPS Global applications. Teamed with the application groups and managers to identify solutions to the inaccuracies and/or defects found during testing. Developed defect reports and memorandums documenting the results and outcome of the tests. Developed an understanding of several UPS applications such as: Worldship, Worldship International, SP/BP/SLIM.com, Quantum View Manage Demo, Hundredweight, PPOS, ODBi Thick/ThinNet, AT&T VPN Client, CARES, TERM, WWRR, UDC, DPS, MOM/DAD, PCS, BOSS, Symantec Antivirus Update, Microsoft Security Hot Fixes, Tivoli Distribution and endpoint testing.
