Daily Duties at W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc:

Manage major global business accounts, including Cisco, Google and Flextronics, for a division of this OEM company, which manufactures and sells products that include high-speed cable assemblies, digital and RF/microwave cables, thermal interface products and connectors. Deal frequently with emerging standards, including 10Gbe, Infiniband and MSA standards such as SFP, QSFP and XFP. w Lead multiple projects related to strategies for key issues, which include pursuing specific customer segments, leveraging value within a given market and identifying new product groups or expansion of existing products. w Interact with customer decision makers from a dual perspective of hardware engineering design and strategic business choices, to support existing business and drive potential future opportunities. w Collaborate with multiple individuals to achieve business objectives, including product managers, business unit managers, sales and operations VPs, and design engineers. w Coach and mentor new associates to support new business development in the Bay Area, with particular emphasis on startups and major computing/networking OEMs
