Daily Duties at Department Of Corrections:

Position: Adult Literacy/GED/ ESL/ LRR Instructor • Teaches inmates who have learning difficulties at a correction facility. • Assesses inmates’ needs • Prepares lesson plans • Provide learner guidance to inmates. • Evaluate inmates’ progress and performance in attaining goals and objectives • Responsible for documenting and administrative reports • Plan and organize conferences with inmate progress, as well as, maintaining a secure classroom environment • Test inmates using the TABE testing materials for placement • Teach inmates English as a Second Language
