Daily Duties at Heilig Meyers Furniture:

I was hired as a Cashier/Collector. I was then promoted to Procurement Coordinator, which made me responsible for ordering merchandise for the store and inventory control. From there I was promoted to Warehouse Manager. My next assignment was a promotion to Credit Manager/Customer Service Manager. My duties were making credit extension decisions, controlling the percentage of delinquent accounts, collections, and all customer service issues. Having held all these positions, I have learned what it takes to manage a business, from merchandising, to making credit extension decisions, to collecting customer accounts, payroll, record keeping, and hiring the right personnel. I have the ability to learn many different job responsibilities very quickly and accurately. My ending salary was $25,954.00/year, plus bonuses and commissions, which made my earnings approximately $34,000.00/year.

What they like about Heilig Meyers Furniture:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
