Daily Duties at Embassy Suites Hotel Pittsburgh International Airport:
Effectively manage and run all front office departments including the front desk and bell stand. Responsible for the maintenance of the entire rooms division budget and operating costs. Actively work with accounting to minimize the amount of bad debt brought about by fraud and credit card disputes as well as continually train the staff on new tax laws and procedures, appropriate handling of government and airline vouchers and proper banking procedures. Responsible for all hiring of all front office associates, mentor associates for promotion, as well as coaching and counseling associates. Create a happy and healthy workplace for associates while maintaining management integrity. Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel, as well as act as assistant to the General Manager. Responsible for maintaining a high level of guest service by promoting proactive hospitality and monitoring SALT scores and corporate Guest Assistance.
