Daily Duties at Workers Compensation Fund:

Responsibilities included; • Carrying out preliminary detailed audits of all payments drawn on accident and Pension fund accounts to board’s creditors, including payments for loans, advances, wages and salaries. • Checking critically and ensuring that all cheques payments are valid and reasonable. • Auditing and checking Pension ledger cards and files, accident and pension fund banking, petty cash for Head Office, Payroll for all Board’s employees with a view to identify flows. • Checking stores issues and purchases in the organisation against departmental requisition and official local purchase orders to ensure authenticity of leave issues, purchases and stocks. • Internal audits and investigations at branches. • Debt collection during audit tours. • Checking inventory of company assets at both Head Office and Branches. • Witnessing opening of tenders to ensure transparency so that only qualified and registered suppliers / contractors are awarded contracts.
