Daily Duties at M.J.L.B., Inc:
My duties were, but not limited to recruit, interview, test, and select potential employees for vacant positions. Maintain personnel records, hires, promotions, transfers, and terminatioins. Write separation notices and conduct exit interviews. Represent company for personnel-related hearings and investigations. Supervise clerical help. Maintain EE01 report. Investigate accidents and prepare report for insurance carrier (U.S.L.&H, as well as State). Conduct wage survey. Meet with clients to determine their future needs, and to maintain good public relations. Plan and carry out policies relating to all phases of personnel activity. Plan and conduct new employee orientation. Contract with outside suppliers to provide employee services such as hotel/apartment rate for perdiem people, transportation, safety equipment, doctor, and drug stores for injured employees. Basic bookkeeping for M.J.L.B., Inc including payroll, monthly 941 payroll taxes, A/P & A/R, invoicing, and collections. Train all in house employees including sales personnel. Sale/bid on all government contracts. Act as liaison for insurance company and client, unemployment hearings, doctor, drug store, and attorneys. Wrote drug policy, new employee orientation, and safety manaual.
