Daily Duties at United States Army:

Performed a variety of clerical duties such as preparing orders, scheduling discharge dates, maintaining suspense actions, maintaining statistics, briefings, assignment processing, promotion boards, and other processing actions and reports for officer and enlisted. Processed name changes, SSN, and birth dates, maintained daily suspense of suspension of favorable actions for all permanent party personnel, obtained data for preparation and/or update of emergency data records, accounted for records for all assigned personnel while ensuring that records were properly signed in/out on an accountability log. Received and filed appropriate documents into personnel’s record, processed personnel actions for arriving and departing military personnel, and conducted in-processing briefings to newly arrived soldiers. Adequately maintained personnel records IAW MARKS (modern army records keeping system) utilizing Department of Army databases, SIDPERS and DA ISM , operated a computer to prepare correspondence, forms, orders, and statements. Also Responsible for the coordination, processing, and tracking of security clearances submitted for investigation and adjudication for over 1,500 soldiers assigned to the Infantry Training Brigade in holdover population because of security clearance issues. Primarily responsible for providing advice and assistance as needed to adequately complete security application requests utilizing Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ) and its replacement e-Quip. Additionally, verified the adequacy and completeness of the EPSQ/e-Quip. On a daily basis thoroughly reviewed security clearance requests for validity, conducted briefings/debriefings, requested documentation for interim security clearances while maintaining a close liaison with installation security offices and providing advisory services to personnel related to the PERSEC program. Other duties included, operating/administering the Joint PERSEC Adjudication System (JPAS) and preparing a variety of correspondence and reports.
