Daily Duties at Toshiba Business Solutions Ny/Nj:
supporting six offices. Administered NDS and GroupWise user accounts on five Novell servers for six offices. Monitored and maintained NDS GroupWise, SQL and Unix backups to tape, utilizing Veritas, SQL backup agent and Edge backup software. Responsible for workstations, hardware and software, configuration and maintenance. Maintenance was done locally or remotely, with the use of RDP, VNC, and GoTo Assist remote clients. Initiated secure wireless hotspots in five branch offices, to afford more mobility for the sales teams. Managed a project for the deployment of ninety-nine wireless laptops configured to company specs Organized build team responsible for building, configuring and testing laptops. Managed, configured and monitored Barracuda 300 spam appliance reducing email traffic by 50%. Hands on experience with SonicWall firewall products and VPN services provided by the SonicWall. Responsible for supporting technicians dispatched to customer locations during service calls. Including repairs and consults regarding customer’s networked computers, printers, copiers and fax machines. Phone and remote control support for customers, as call avoidance. Administered Toshiba perception phone system for our corporate office
