Daily Duties at Boys & Girls Club:
As Administrative Assistant for organizations like the Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Rapids, I revamped bookkeeping systems, streamlined reports and spreadsheets, decreasing turnaround time of submission of reports by 1 week and eliminating the manual tabulation of statistics. I Procured $2,000 in appliances for the club through effective proposal writing and received a $150.00 bonus for my efforts. As a Team leader, I showed strengths in organization, prioritization, and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively resolve and troubleshoot billing and computer problems with vendors/customers and am able to analyze and interpret data from spreadsheets, charts and financial statements and perform basic accounting operations and payroll. I am experienced in documenting business transactions, correspondence and recording information possessing excellent written/verbal communication skills with three published articles. I also have strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills with attention to detail and accounting techniques. I verified payroll, set up employee benefits and processed payroll forms and tracked vacation time. I supervised a part-time desk assistant and community service volunteers.
