Daily Duties at Avatar Holdings:

• J. D. Edwards user interface, Build Pro, and basic knowledge of the Constellation product. • Primary responsibilities include testing, documenting and rolling out new software to the end user. Integration of applications currently being used, data conversion, and end user training. • Day to day responsibilities include resolving roadblocks to keep the project on time, documentation, participation in the meetings to establish go forward plans, and interfacing with the end user to establish best practices. • Assisting project manager with projecting planning, and implementing a strategy for successful project management. • Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve user problems. • Analyze information to determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. • Help develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures. • Implement installation of software system. • Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications • Consult with users and/or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance • Instituted and maintain company wide Help Desk standard of a two day resolution for all non-critical hardware and software challenges and a same day resolution for system and mission critical software and hardware challenges. • Implemented and facilitated company wide backup strategy using Veritas/Symantec Backup Exec maintaining a critical disaster recovery model. • Tested and implemented Veritas/Symantec Live State Recovery resulting in a reduction of backup and disaster recovery time as well as reducing resources on critical servers company wide. • Installed, configured and maintained BlackBerry Enterprise Servers and BlackBerry wireless handheld devices, improving end user satisfaction • Constructed a multiple pc/laptop image and deployment region utilizing Symantec Ghost, decreasing configuration and deployment of hardware to end users • Assisted in all installation, configuration, upgrade and migration of enterprise servers, as well as firewalls, NAS, and SAN equipment
