Daily Duties at Freescale/Motorola:
Engineering Rotation Program and Senior Staffing Specialist University Relations Managed full cycle talent selection process: sourcing, candidate identification, interviews, offers, employee integration, and first year rotational program for 16 Engineers, 120 Interns and Co-ops. Rotational graduation classes have 99.9% placement rate. • Partnered with Business Units and HR specialists to develop an annual college workforce forecast plan based on thorough assessment of current tactical and future strategic needs of organization. This process is now clearly documented and institutionalized across Company. • Managed 6 strategic partnerships with key Universities University of Texas, A&M University, Rice University, Prairie View A&M, Howard University, and University of Michigan), matching strategic needs of Motorola / Freescale Semiconductor to appropriate best in class university programs resulted in 90% customer satisfaction rating from our Business Units. • Handled advertising strategy and methodology, selection and management of collateral consulting resources, management of targeted events, and company relationship with student associations and organizations. • Managed budget of $500K, including engineering rotational program, university relationship support, sponsoring faculty research project, marketing and advertising, campus activities, and engineering student association support. Maintain fiscal responsibility by staying on or below budget. This required accurate forecasting, aggressive negotiation, and detailed monitoring skills. • Coordinated and carried out on-campus interviews, career fairs, and information sessions. Targeted populations were: Motorola / Freescale engineering and management staff, professional recruiters, faculty staff, and university students. • Recognized as subject matter expert in company name branding, diversity management and internal/ external relationship development
