Daily Duties at Owens Illinois:
Supervising the activities of manufacturing group. Ensure production is maintained in accordance with time schedules, engineering accordance, quality standards, expense budgets, employee safety and cost goals. Assist in maintaining a goal oriented safe, and quality conscious working environment. Plans, organizes and directs the work of assigned groups maintaining output and sequencing of production in accordance with customer service goals. Prioritizes production schedules based on product material supply. Maintains close liaison with quality and other productive groups, keeping them informed of any product difficulties or quality problems. Maintains necessary flexibility within assigned operation, ensuring effective reaction to customer requirements. Instruct employees on the strict adherence required to all safety practices. Coordinates introduction into manufacturing of all major projects such as new products, major methods changes, etc.
