Daily Duties at Blockbuster Video:
? Responsible for opening store in a timely fashion. Count cash on hand and stock registers. Review and file daily paperwork, which consists of daily receipts, amounts and adjustments to deposits, item returns and detailed transaction reports. Daily review of stock inventory. Ensure all store equipment is on and operable. ? Responsible for daily shift meetings with employees to review sales goals for the day and responsibilities. ? Manage customer service by performing and over seeing employees while performing conflict resolution with customers, handling registers, item returns, re-pricing inventory, general store cleaning, transfer of inventory from rental to retail, receiving daily inventory, adjustments of inventory rental schedule, placing special orders, oversight of all general non rental inventory and rental and retail inventory placements and reorganization. ? Responsible for closing store in a timely fashion. Count cash on hand, re-stock inventory, generate and balance daily register receipts, enter amounts into company accounting system, general store cleaning. Ensure all equipment is off, secured and all doors are locked.
