Daily Duties at Savannah College Of Art And Design:
As the Assist ant to the Deans of the School of Fine Arts and the Dean of the School of Performing Arts, I report directly to two deans. I conduct research and compile reports for both deans. I also communicate with not only students, faculty and staff, but also the parents of students on a daily basis. I arrange flight, hotel, and restaurant reservations for my superiors, the faculty, and visiting artists when called upon to do so. I track the budget, which involves checking purchase requisitions against actual expenditures, and projecting budget needs up to a year in advance. Many times I am called upon to coordinate and manage projects between the four departmental assistants under the School of Fine Arts. Additionally, I log faculty forms and student forms. I take phone calls, set schedules, and take formal minutes at meetings. My telephone and email etiquette is polished and professional while still being accommodating.
