Daily Duties at Us Marine Corps:

Implement and conduct safety training to over 700 employees. Review and implement environmental technical standards, guidelines, policies, and formal regulations that meet all appropriate requirements. Conduct environmental audits and inspections, and investigations of violations. With the proposed use of the Hazardous Material Control Site I was able to save the company over $50,000.00 in a three month period. Promote the proper management and segregation of used fuel, oil, antifreeze, lubricants, contaminated soil and used rags to minimize contamination. Evaluate violations or problems discovered during inspections to determine appropriate regulatory actions or to provide advice on the development and prosecution of regulatory cases. Communicate scientific and technical information through oral briefings, written documents, workshops, conferences, and public hearings. Provide technical guidance, support, and oversight to environmental programs, industry, and the public. Provide advice on proper standards and regulations or the development of policies, strategies, and codes of practice for environmental management.

What they like about Us Marine Corps:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
