Daily Duties at Potomac Management Group:
• Review applications for merchant mariner licenses, documents, Certificates of Registry and STCW certificates for accuracy, completeness, and ensures compliance with all security and regulatory requirements. • Prepare correspondence to the mariner indicating reasons why credentials cannot be issued where applications are not complete. • Respond to mariners’ inquiries to clarify problems with their application and to facilitate the issuance of the requested mariner’s credentials. • Submits accurate and complete applications along with all other required documents to the REC Chief or Senior Evaluator for final review and signature. • Enter all pertinent data and records (i.e. mariner information) into the REC database and Merchant Mariner Licensing and Documentation (MMLD) system.
