Daily Duties at Marion County Court House:

Performed as Deputy Clerk reviewing and posting traffic and ordinance violations issued by local police departments, verifying data and entering into system. Taking payments and posting on defendant accounts. Compiling all files, removing warrants and setting up new prisoner files for jail list each day to take to court. Setting up new Criminal Felony, Misdemeanor, Traffic, and DUI files. Figuring and entering fines and costs on each defendants case and collecting and posting payments. Updating court docket and setting court hearing dates for attorneys. Researching court information for defendant or officials and organizing and filing of past violations . Answering phones for all departments and answering questions for callers, working counter and assisting coworkers with their workload.
