Daily Duties at Florida Department Of Elder Affairs:

• Provide basic and intensive training to SHINE volunteers on Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, managed care, prescription drug coverage, Medicaid, long-term care planning and options, counseling skills, counselor responsibilities including HIPAA compliance, cultural awareness and presentation skills • Assist in research of technical updates, including development of PowerPoints • Assist in the development of training materials on Medicare and related subjects • Respond to telephone and written inquiries about Medicare and health insurance, Department of Elder Affairs and the SHINE program • Prepare material for Phase I and other trainings as directed by Training Director
