Daily Duties at Alliant Technologies:
• Design, implementation, and configuration of a fully-redundant, load-balanced, and highly secure gateway comprised of sixty-five devices including Cisco 3750/6500/ASA 5500/ACS/NAC/MARS, Juniper 200, BlueCoat, Blue Cat, Nokia 390, RSA, Nortel 2424,and Niksun • Report to Chief Technology Officer to communicate network status and provide recommendations • Designed, implemented, and lead a 24/7/365 NOC staffed by a team of 8 network engineers using HP Openview, HP Insight Manager, Microsoft Operations Manager, and Nagios. • Created a 2000 + page run book to perform day-to-day operations and to provide emergency response • Currently implementing company initiative to consolidate server hardware through virtualization • Responsible for installation, administration, and 24-hour support for networking appliances and servers • Provided technical and analytical expertise from a consulting perspective in the deployment of new technologies
