Daily Duties at Keeley Investment Corp:
Equity Trader ? Traded small, mid, and smid cap equities across 2200 accounts to rebalance portfolios and work buy/sell orders. ? Used Moxy to send orders across FIX; imported/exported orders and fills from Checkfree APL and other platforms into Moxy to allow same day feeds into Axys. ? Executed step out trades using Keeley’s own broker/dealer for average price trades on large orders. Sr. Portfolio Accountant ? Implemented REX, DataExchange, and Dataport to automate reconciliation, trade downloads, and trade matching (REX) with custodians on a T + 1 basis. ? Master user of Advent; worked with consultants to streamline and create a more efficient workflow within the company. ? Interviewed and hired 6 individuals creating a middle and back office team. ? Trained, managed, and worked with this group once the automation had been put into place. ? Attended numerous Advent conferences to explore new products and stay current with existing products. ? Created a complete intranet filing system for individual contracts and dual contracts with sponsors participating in Keeley’s various programs.
