Duties of an inventory control clerk to compile and maintain records of quantity and type of merchandise stocked in the warehouse, data entry, ten key by touch and typing 48wpm. Count merchandise in stock and posts totals to inventory records, compare inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales order, production records, or purchase invoicesVerify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, investigates and reports reason for discrepancies, generate reports such as inventory balance or shortages, prepares lists of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
