DTURMAND, INC. – Washington, DC Senior Human Resources Consultant (1998 - Present) * As an Executive/Personal Assistant/1099 Consultant (02/1998 – 03/2007) o Provided direct personal executive support to political campaigns including work as Executive/Personal Assistant to Ms. Elizabeth Edwards o Included the calendar management, personal affairs, communications, and interaction with varying organizations, administrative duties, and travel. o Previous clients included 2008 Presidential Candidate, Senator John R. Edwards (D-NC), Senator Jim Webb (D-VA), Senator Bob Graham (D-FL), and Governor Tim Kaine (D-VA.) * Fannie Mae, Human Resources Program Manager/1099 Consultant (05/2006 – 12/2006) o Spearheaded Asia – Sector 2 (India, Pakistan, Malaysia, & Singapore) recruiting for restatement project contractors. o In conjunction with corporate security, coordinated and processed all applicants for Fannie Mae’s restatement project, regular contractors, and full time employee candidates. o As a HR Generalist, screened all candidates and processing of background checks with Verifications, Inc., and Wackenhut. * The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC,) Office Manager/1099 Consultant (11/2004 – 05/2006) o Coordinated all facets of office and facility operations to sustain a positive and productive workplace for 90+ personnel of attorneys, scientist, and program staff. Implemented the administrative plan and budget. Supervised, trained, recruited, hired & managed 18 admins and 55 interns. o As a HR Generalist, recruited for college hire positions, attorney internship programs while creating the collegiate outreach module. * Congressional Black Caucus, Executive Office Manager/1099Consultant (02/1999 – 11/2004) o Provided comprehensive administrative, human resources, and planning support to the President, CEO, and senior staff of 501c3 charitable, non-profit organizations. Competently organized presentations and meetings including their Annual Legislative Conference. o Executive Office Manager managed sizeable projects from start to finish while interacting with Congress, Board of Directors, Corporate Advisory Council, and business and community leaders. o As a HR Generalist, supervised, managed, recruited, hired & trained all CBC related interns, program staff, several member staff members & development officials.
