Daily Duties at Myron Corporation :
Director of Product Development Developed personalized products within the categories of pens, calendars, clocks, pocket knives, desk accessories and Christmas cards for $200 million business to business division. Managed all aspects of product menu and merchandise planning through channels of catalog, web, bank statement inserts and media ads. Instrumental in building new consumer business from $2 million to over $20 million annually through creation of new personalized product categories such as bags, home decor, kids and jewelry. Developed gross margin targets and pricing strategies for all products. Worked with overseas product development, QA and factory on all aspects of production. Oversee forecasting, purchasing and inventory of new and repeat products. Developed and directed licensed product opportunities and product research strategies. Traveled domestically and overseas several times a year to cover trade shows, visit existing vendors and source new vendors. Built product development shared website to monitor and track products throughout product development cycle.
