Daily Duties at Ironwood Investment Management:
Identified firm wide business needs and implemented solutions. Launched mutual fund and hedge fund. Responsible for the overall fiscal operations of the firm and investment products. Handled all financial reporting, budgeting, strategic planning, project evaluations, cost analysis and monthly reviews and presented to principals and private equity ownership. Hired, motivated and managed trading, sales/marketing, client reporting and office staff. Responsible for pro-active and regular communication with investment personnel, legal department, and independent auditors. Prepared and presented to mutual fund Board of Trustees and all sub-committees and acted as liaison between management company and Independent Trustees. Managed all third party vendors associated with firm and firm’s mutual fund to ensure optimal levels of quality control, accuracy and timeliness relating to client/ shareholder service, administration and reporting. Lead representative for the firm during SEC regulatory audits. Negotiated all contracts, leases and disputes for firm. Served as Senior Compliance Officer and Treasurer of publicly traded mutual fund. Spoke at conferences as a member of the Investment Company Institute (ICI) Small Funds Committee.
