Daily Duties at Kaiser Permanente Medical Group:
? Provide high quality customer service in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of incoming calls from PCP’s (Primary Care Physicians), clients, call center operators, and patients while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. ? Check in patients, retrieve and update patient medical charts, review insurance status prior to patient visit, refer patients to specialists and scheduled follow up appointments for patients while maintaining confidentiality and meeting compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines. ? Interact and build relationships with all levels of medical staff, personnel, and management. ? Accountable for money collected from co-payments. ? Create solutions for urgent matters while maintaining composure and maintain flexibility with in the sub-departments of Pediatrics (i.e. Teen clinic, Specialty, Urgent Care, PE clinic.) ? Work non-traditional days and hours as needed and frequently attended Customer Service trainings and systems update trainings. ? Participate in volunteer activities and projects such as Blood drives, children’s PE clinics, and HAP (Healthy Adolescent Program.) ? Received excellence awards in Customer Service in various occasions.
