Daily Duties at Southern California Edison:
? Create and maintain databases for use in monitoring all JOIS (Job Opportunity Information System) program activities: identify system challenges, develop process/guidelines, responsible for implementation and appropriate interpretation of policies and procedures that impact the utility and affiliate companies. ? Perform initial screening of applicants for all internal and affiliate job postings: inform non-successful applicants on their status, accurately track applicant activity utilizing Resumix, Hiring Gateway and Meta 5 databases during the full hiring cycle. ? Consult with hiring managers and HR Consultants on job posting criteria and consistency with company CIP (Compensation Integration Program) and MIP (Manager Incentive Program) requirements. Proof-read, edit, format and post new salary, hourly, and exempt job requisitions on inter/intranet. ? Single point of contact for coordinating and piloting internal hiring workshops in which a new job posting is created, reviewed and approved by members of HR Performance & Assessment, HR Compensation and HR Staffing. Develop dimensional interview guides, timelines, and recruitment strategies. ? Extensive customer interface and relationship building with Recruiters, Human Resource Consultants, Managers, Supervisors, employees, and various internal and external clients. ? Maintain confidentiality while working with highly sensitive information such as employee job history, resume, salary information, testing results, business cases, EO cases, disability management, reorganization/Reduction in force strategies, and workforce management issues. ? Member of the HR Web team to maintain integrity and accuracy of HR data on inter/intra net utilizing Microsoft VSS, and macromedia applications such as Dreamweaver and HomeSite5. Migrated web content into a portal environment in preparation for implementation of ERP/SAP (Enterprise Resource Planning.) ? Consult with department managers and HR Consultants during business case and notification of involuntary separation due to reduction in force processes. ? Coordinate, monitor and administer various workforce management reduction programs: Create and coordinate employee severance statements and benefits packages. ? Make process improvement recommendations to management to maximize efficiency and achieve productivity gains. ? Compile, organize, and present accurate data reports on monthly basis using MS Excel and PowerPoint. ? Manage a high volume electronic mail inbox (Lotus Notes) ? Complete projects in a timely manner as assigned and provide support to consultants and maintain internal and external client service satisfaction through accurate and timely completion of projects. ? Prepare monthly workforce reduction report for CPUC (California Public Utility Commission.)
