Daily Duties at Beaird Co.:

Conduct new employee orientation on standard safety procedures for the plant. Responsible for preparing materials for upcoming training classes and safety meetings. Participate in bi-weekly safety meetings for plant safety captains and supervisors. Responsible for building and implementing OSHA training modules. Facilitate training for "Powered Industrial Trucks" Generate PIT licenses and maintain database of new employees' training and certifications. Responsible for developing company wide emergency response guide. Write safety policies/procedures and distribute to employees when necessary. Address safety concerns from employees and safety captains with upper management. . Maintain maintenance request database, and follow up with maintenance department on status or work orders. Update MSDS sheets and keep plant records current. Research OSHA and EPA regulations. Assist Safety director and EHS Director with any and all projects. Responsible for maintaining various databases and various other clerical duties.
