Create established testing standards, processes, and procedures. Work to meet deadlines and date commitments for department. Work to ensure the delivery of high quality, virtually defect-free systems and documentation in a timely manner. Analyze functional and detailed design specifications to identify testable requirements. Actively participate in the development and review of a variety of test suites including Smoke, Functional, Regression, Usability, Stress/Load, etc. Work closely with development engineers to review architect and recommend testable design. Create Project Schedule and provide estimates to front-line managers. Creation of data sets to enhance test usability. Author, execute, maintain, and archive high quality and complete test cases, test scripts, and backup\restore test databases. Convert manual test procedures into automated systems. Design, implement, and execute quality engineering test plans and strategies following best practices for automation and testing. Identify software anomalies and investigate their cause and effects. Troubleshoot problems that arise during testing. Assist others with troubleshooting and support of products. Create proper problem reporting which allows Development to understand and correct problem. Create quality bug reports and track defects from project origination through extinction. Regression test all defects. Maintain accurate and appropriate records on all tests performed and related results. Configure and maintain test environments to reproduce real world scenarios. Thoroughly and meticulously create and review technical documentation. Work with development to identify problems and meet deadlines. Develop and review submission documentation for product submission to regulatory agencies. Provide project status to Quality Engineering Tools and Automation Manager. Interface with company associates, outside consultants, vendors, and customers to determine appropriate software fixes. Prepare software for turnover to the Project Office.
