Daily Duties at Advocate Radiology Billing:

• Calling Insurance regarding payment on complicated high dollar accounts • Developing and integrating new policies for increased collection percentage • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes • Experience with BWC claims. • Calling insurance companies for unresolved claims • Appealing medical necessity, Bundling, and duplicate denials • Coordinating with the IS department for new hire computer set up. • Helping staff with payment allocation errors. • Running, distributing, collecting and reviewing of A/R reports to ensure timely filing • Training new employees to work with AS/400 system, payment entry, charge entry, and efficient A/R practices. • Create databases for organizing A/R functioning. • Annual employee reviews • Taking disciplinary action for non adherence to company policies • Interviewing of potential new hires • Reviewing and signing off on A/R staff payroll • Proficient knowledge of Kronos payroll software • Ensure staff is working up to company standards. • Audit A/R batches for accuracy and completion. • Answer staff A/R questions. • Work back end edit reports • Negotiating with Settlement Companies • Run held claims and ensure that all self pays have been released. • Run held claims and ensure that all self pays have been released. • Developed Credit Balance policy for company to eliminate company money loss. • Implement Credit Balance policy. • Review and sign off on refund checks to be cut.
