Daily Duties at Duke Clinical Research Institute:

• Successfully built and manage the DCRI Hardware Asset department from the ground up; by way of solid leadership along with the development of Standards of Operations (SOP’s)/service level agreements (SLA’s) for Hardware deployment, procurement and inventory procedures in addition to Software procurement, licensing and deployment. Entry level experience with ITIL best-practices and processes. • Project manager for end of lease and all phases of a $900,000.00 hardware and 1.1 Million dollar software budget. Reduced costs 1.2% over all with solid asset inventory, procurement and licensing experience. Additional Project Management rolls include: Security engineer for the NT4/XP roll out project (team of 7). 2nd chair for the PX/Vista roll out project (team of 12), in addition to; active member for the VoIP convergence (team of 4, increase to 12 when roll out occurs). • Sr. IT Systems Specialist supplying support by way of desktop, phone & email for 1200 users worldwide. Assisted in supervision of 5 desktop support technicians and 6 Help Desk specialists, maintained an even work flow through Support Magic and Intuit/TrackIT ticketing software. Configure DNS/DHCP on laptops (entry level) • Manage Corporate Images; Responsible for testing new applications and upgrades for computer related software packages, including testing all Microsoft hot fixes prior to release. • Assisted Network Engineer with initial configuration and installation of 2900, 3500 & 4006 CISCO Catalyst series switches; mainly with EIGRP and OPSF. Extensive Telecom room installation, configuration and maintenance, running cable, terminating and making ports hot. • Train staff and users on proper use on all IT hardware and software programs.
