Construction Lineman Cablevision Systems Corp. – Construction Department – Randolph, NJ · Coaxial Splicing · Building of Cable Plants (Aerial & Underground) · Maintain Underground & Aerial Cables · Plant Activation · Troubleshoot Damaged Plants · Surveying of Commercial and Residential Sites · Prepare Damage Reports · Utilize New Equipment to Test and Perform Required Tasks · Perform Secondary Standby as well as Activation, Balancing and Splicing of New Electronic Equipment · Obtain Pole Measurements / Pole Licensing · Negotiate right-of-way contract agreements with local utility companies and municipalities for the installation of coaxial cables · Implementation and Inspection of residential service feeds, aerial CATV/Telecom pole line and cable construction, underground trench and backhoe excavation construction · Attend Site Meetings for Future Builds · Experience working with CATV Engineers · Assist with configuration, activation and maintenance of the Network using Small World and AutoCAD Software · Create AutoCAD prints for OSP technicians and institute field design as needed · Work with Detailed Schematics · Emergency Ready Response Team / On-Call · Maintain Company Vehicles and Equipment · Climb Utility Poles and Ladders Working Under Various Weather Conditions · Supervise Independent Contractors to ensure works meets Cablevision as well as FCC Specifications · Responsible for ensuring all work related tasks are performed in a manner that is in compliance with OSHA Safety Rules and Regulations Field Service Technician Cablevision Systems Corp. – Randolph, NJ · Installation of Cable TV Services · Installation and Repair of Coaxial Cable from the existing Network into Customer Premises · Perform disconnects, reconnects, relocations, change of service, leakage detection/repair and addition of sets · Service all equipment and repair/replace defective equipment · Heavy Interaction with Customer Service involving Equipment Training, Sales and Collections · Monitor System Performance Throughout Entire Network
