Daily Duties at At&T:

• Manages bandwidth capacity and capabilities of the transport network to anticipate, avoid, and correct network congestion. • Analyzes and applies engineering procedures, criteria, trend data, tools, and techniques as applicable in making INL growth decisions. • Engages with external work groups to ensure on time delivery of facility requests. • Responsible for the tactical planning, network technology design, development of comprehensive engineering plans, and extensive analysis of the central office facilities, circuit and packet switches, routers, frames, and power to meet the growth, modernization, and replacement demands of the network. • Develops and directs the implementation of tactical plans for access, backbone, and interoffice networks. • Applies network and traffic engineering principles and uses database analysis systems to develop network architecture plans. • Accurately plans, forecasts, and directs the provisioning of the networks to meet present, future, and technological demands at appropriate service levels. • Analyze inputs to determine sizing and timing of additional network elements required to meet service demands to avoid financial remedies. • Reports monthly and weekly overall network health performance and recommends corrective actions internally and externally.
