Daily Duties at At&T:

• Perform data analysis and projections on existing equipment for augments (ATM, DSLAM, Frame Relay). Determine which offices require the augment and notify IP and/or prepare ASI Equipment Request (AER). • Provide planning studies related to demand and capacity. The IP may require studies be performed on trending, data analysis, consumption rate etc. • Re-plan growth due to budget constraints - A planning cycle (view) may have been done however, when funding is cut there is need to re-do the growth plan. • Issue job requests to IP, COE - Each request represents notification of a job (AER) to be written that is to cover approximately 12 months of capacity with 90 days cushion from the RFS date. • Capacity Manage and Trend Growth - Monitor capacity constantly to assure relief is provided at the appropriate time. Utilize the trend/projection tool to determine the sizing and timing of the next growth job. • Time & Size jobs to meet customer & corporate demand based on forecast and trending/projections at the Wire Center level. • Review growth requirements and prioritize offices with appropriate workgroups. • Perform back-up duties for other Capacity Managers and trained new ones. • Created Expense Budget Analysis reports and distributed them to upper-level management including RVP. • Compiled time reports related to the capital budget and distributed them to upper-level management.
