Daily Duties at Uab Grants & Contracts Administration:
Managed 1.6 million dollar budget and reconcile budget statements for maintaining financial tracking databases to provide routine reports. Monitored adherence to budgets, grants and contracts. Provided direct support for the Director of Grants and Contracts Administration. Developed, and implemented office operational policies and procedures to comply with University operating procedures. Processed and maintained all personnel forms, files, records and confidential reports. Supervised 3-9 administrative support/clerical employees activities to achieve departmental goals. Oversee subordinate staff schedules, sat work priorities, and ensured that departmental operations function in an efficient and effective manner. Coordinated special projects and maintenance of departmental records on departmental web page. Responsible for allocating departmental purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and preparation and review of recurring financial statements. Served as liaison to other departments, agencies and vendors regarding routine to complex administrative support issues. Administered contract negotiations with vendors for programs, supplies and other office needs. Monitored departmental space and equipment and coordinates individual moves and equipment accounting according to established procedures. Organized departmental meetings, lectures/seminars, events, travel, luncheon arrangements, etc. Provided support of a high level or confidential nature, in support of departmental operations.
