Daily Duties at Uab Grants & Contracts Administration:

• Managed 1.6 million dollar budget and reconcile budget statements for maintaining financial tracking databases to provide routine reports. • Monitored adherence to budgets, grants and contracts. • Provided direct support for the Director of Grants and Contracts Administration. • Developed, and implemented office operational policies and procedures to comply with University operating procedures. • Processed and maintained all personnel forms, files, records and confidential reports. • Supervised 3-9 administrative support/clerical employees’ activities to achieve departmental goals. • Oversee subordinate staff schedules, sat work priorities, and ensured that departmental operations function in an efficient and effective manner. • Coordinated special projects and maintenance of departmental records on departmental web page. • Responsible for allocating departmental purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and preparation and review of recurring financial statements. • Served as liaison to other departments, agencies and vendors regarding routine to complex administrative support issues. • Administered contract negotiations with vendors for programs, supplies and other office needs. • Monitored departmental space and equipment and coordinates individual moves and equipment accounting according to established procedures. • Organized departmental meetings, lectures/seminars, events, travel, luncheon arrangements, etc. • Provided support of a high level or confidential nature, in support of departmental operations.
