Daily Duties at American Diabetes Association:

Recruiting, training and coordinating upper level volunteers dedicated to education activities. Raising new financial support through grant writing, coporate sponsorship and community partnerships. Developing program measurements for collecting and evaluating outcomes. Managing logistics for local diabetes camps, including: marketing, recruiting, fundraising, hiring and training seasonal staff, contract management, documentation management, evaluations, crisis planning and implementation, camp committee leadership, campership funds distribution and camp fee collection. Developing and identifying collaborative opportunities with corporations and community organizations to achieve similar goals. Creating regional educational programs to meet the consumer and caregiver's need for information and resources. Promoting national awareness campaigns, locally, through the use of PSA's, radio interviews, grassroots news stories, face to face interactions and creative print media.
